I’ve always been curious about why people believe what they believe. Not just what they think, but how they arrived there, what evidence they considered, and what assumptions they never thought to question.

Sometimes those questions lead me down historical rabbit holes. Other times, they take me across the country, across an ocean, or into conversations I never expected to have.

And occasionally, they leave me staring at someone with one eyebrow raised.

Welcome to Bohemian Blerd.

This isn’t going to be a blog exclusively about education, history, travel, or leadership. It will be about all of those things and whatever else happens to capture my attention.

I believe history deserves context, ideas deserve examination, and conventional wisdom occasionally deserves a good interrogation.

I also believe there’s room for laughter in serious conversations. Intelligence doesn’t require a permanent scowl, and curiosity doesn’t have an expiration date.

You won’t always agree with me. Good. Agreement isn’t the price of admission.

What I hope you’ll bring is a willingness to question, investigate, reconsider, and occasionally laugh at the absurdities of life.

I’ll bring the curiosity, the historical perspective, the occasional unexpected adventure, and, when necessary, the raised eyebrow.
